When I meet Ellie and Hin, I told them, they will have a good weather because as Spanish I bring the Sun with me.

I think we manifested it so hard that was true but also Ellie and Hin favourite Tree was ready for them too.
Such a beautiful day, full or energy, more than 600 Origami Crane flying above our heads.

I love being “Tata Carmen” (Auntie Carmen), I’m an aunt since I was 9 years old with my first nephew CJ.
If a baby or toddler is on the #wedding I keep observing them, as they are pure and they don’t lie.
When we grow up, we forgot that “wild” part on is, we change that for being more “conscious” of our surroundings… that is not ok, we hide our unique part, our pure soul because what others can think about us…

So if there is a child, I know they will show me the real deal on the wedding day.

Obviously in M&A wedding, their nephew was a big part of the event… my favourite part was when he “gave” the rings (slide to see it).

Thank you Mabel and Alfonso, for being super awesome and for make me feel part of your family.

And something blue…
I feel a massive responsibility while I’m taking photos, specially the getting ready moments.
I’m aware that, for the couple this time goes fast, because they haven’t seen each other (most of the time).
I tried to be invisible as much as I can, is not my wedding, I’m there to do something they can’t but they will remember for many years to come.

That is why, I say no to some weddings, we don’t match, we don’t have that connection and in some sort, I will be present for you even if I try to not.
So is better to let it go and recommend a peer wedding photographer that will be a better match for the couple.
Time has showed me is the right call, because years after weddings I still have contact with my “couples”, I celebrate them, their babies or their new milestones and that is something incredible.

This can be one of my favourite pictures, the one that resumes perfectly why I do weddings (and families)

As many photographers, we had/have some in our family that was the photographer, in mine was my dad, that box with a tube can do image??? Oh yes, but it does many more.

I love the power, yes power, of a picture:
- Can bring a moment back to live, can bring a smell, it’s tells a story but also talks… and it’s just an still image.

If this photo speaks, it will talk about Mabel and his father but also about happiness, being nervous and excited for the new adventures to come… It will talk about their day but also it will bring back (to them) all their feelings on this day…

I love this, more than I love chocolate 😍

Probably this is the first time ever I can tick so

Probably this is the first time ever I can tick something from my “new year goals list”:
“Learning and using more film (photography speaking)” and trust me… I have learned a lot but I know nothing 🥲

35, 120, push film, dslr scanning 🤯🤯🤯
What do I know is I love this, love the magic, the unknown. What an expired film can do and why I need another fridge just for film (do people put film on the freezer???)

Also I’m grateful for the people I meet and connect because this: @disparafilmblog and @hermantoothrotanalog for the community you are building, @norwud_ (thank you for the inspiration) @imtheshit (I felt in love again with film because you and your work) and my favourite lab @jackslab.co, just to mention a few (there are many more) but also to my couples for next year weddings, Ellie and Hin: Thank you for let me try this with you.

This film was use on a #mamiya645 with #ilfordhp5, developed at @jackslab.co and scanning by me (I’m still learning) using @negativelabpro

I promise you, there will be more to come, because this is #thetimeweshared and I’m here to capture the memories you want to see in 10 years ☺️☺️☺️
